Kateri Farrell is a vibrant musician specializing in flute, vocals and songwriting. Studying flute at
the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, she developed her passion for singing also and
performed flute and vocals with many groups including the Grammy nominated Jazz Ensemble I
from UWEC. Kateri performs with several bands across the U.S. including The Jason Eskridge
Band (Lyle Lovett, Marc Broussard, Randy Travis, Zac Brown Band), retro soul band Lydia
Brittan & The Royal Family and her own self-lead group. Her versatile sound has been
compared to idols such as Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Lianne La Havas, Corinne Bailey Rae,
Bobbi Humphrey and Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull. Kateri’s debut original single is set to be
released early 2023.
James Sonnentag is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in improvisation on piano and
vibraphone. A percussionist at heart, he performed at Carnegie Hall with the National Wind
Ensemble before receiving his undergrad at the University Wisconsin - Eau Claire in percussion
performance. At UWEC, James participated in many groups in the area including the Grammy
nominated UWEC Jazz Ensemble 1 on vibraphone. Since moving to Nashville, he has toured
internationally on keyboard and is currently playing with Lydia Brittan and the Royal Family,
Emily Kidd and The Rhinestoners, and Kateri Farrell.
Kateri & James perform as a duo across the country and specialize in jazz, soul, pop, latin jazz,
and funk covers.
